Intel's New Ultrabook With Core i5 Processor Is Here To Rock The Market

Intel is till-date the best and biggest designer and manufacturer of semiconductor chips. Intel has proposed and unveiled a new idea of new class portable laptop at the Computex Taipei 2011, which is known as the Ultrabook.

The audience at Computex Taipei was amazed to see the marvelous creation of a 20mm or 0.8 inch compact Ultrabook for $1000 only with longer battery backup from the famous chipmaker.

"If we do it right, the PC Ultrabook will be 40% of the notebook market in about 18 months," says Sean Maloney, Executive Vice President of Intel.

"We did this before in 2008 and we screwed it up: we didn't cut the price. Now, we'll cut the price, thanks to volume and scale.”

They also mentioned that soon the new device would merge with the performance potentialities of present laptops with its features and instant-on functionality.

The ultra portable machine offers a number of highly distinguished features, which makes the laptop more attractive.

The features are mainly tablet like. At the initial stage, Intel prefers to run its latest laptop on its own 3D transistor based Ivy Bridge chipset that will carry dissimilar speed for the system.

The transistors consume almost half of the power required for the 2D similitude used for the manufacture of chips. The Intel chipset features 22 nanometer engraved process.

Although the Ultrabook offers a display of 11.6 inches but it offers the same features as a tablet. Therefore, there is a large scope for the growth and expansion of the interface of an Ultrabook.

Its tablet-like features are enough to compete in the world of the iPad and the remaining Andriod tablet computers.

The system is thin with stunning looks and low weight of only 2.2 pounds. The elegantly designed system is based on Moore’s Law that states the quantity of transistors used on an IC will be doubled every two years. The technology is appropriate for the system.

The system is made to run on high-performing 22nm Ivy Bridge Core i5 processor, which is 37% faster in comparison to similar current Intel processors.

It is provided with the central processing unit (CPU) from Intel Core i5 family. It has a HDMI port of miniature size, a 3.0 USB port, and SSD storage.

This new laptop is only the first of many which will be available in the market during the latter part of 2011.

The successors will be coming in two sessions in 2012 and 2013 with new Intel processors. The present Ivy Bridge supports DirectX 11 graphics from Microsoft.

The third round of Ultrabook, which will take over the market in 2013, will include the third generation processor (nick named as Haswell) with a smarter and thinner look and longer battery backup.

The power consumption rate will also be reduced in that laptop. So, let us wait for some time to see how Ultrabook rocks the market.
