Kobo’s Wi-Fi Touch E-reader unveiled
Kobo Inc, the Canadian company, has churned out a brand new e-reader of e-ink, known as Kobo WiFi Touch Edition of its e-reader.

The famous infrared technology of Neonode has been merged in the new e-reader manufactured by Kobo, which is seen in the touchscreen e- reader of Sony.

The recent generation of E-Ink, Pearl e-ink with a display of 6 inches is highlighted by Kobo WiFi Touch edition e-reader. The price of the e-reader is $129.99. You can get hold of the reader anytime this summer.

The infrared technology of Neonode is responsible for the new interface offered by the Kobo WiFi Touch Edition of e-reader. The swiping experience is much smoother and there are a bunch of other great features as well.

The device has a screen of 6 inches and the flipping of pages by users is smooth due to the swiping action. A Freescall CPU is the processor on which the e-reader will be running.

There is built-in storage space of 1GB and there is a storage slot for removable SD card of up to 32 GB. The space is enough to store almost 30,000 books.

The connectivity of the Kobo WiFi Touch Edition of e-reader is enhanced with USB and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi options. The battery life of the e-reader has also been improved considerably, and the color options available are silver, lilac and black.

One of the great things about the Kobo e-reader is beyond doubt its Neonode infrared technology. With the help of this technology, the e-reading experience of the users on the device will become a memorable one.

The way of functioning will be smooth and the turning of the pages, zooming images, resizing of fonts and highlighting of phrases will be simpler than ever imagined. The added advantage of the Kobo e-reader is the memory space for storing almost 30,000 books.

The battery backup is a whopping two weeks or in terms of page loads, 10,000 pages! The dimension of the gadget is 6.5 x 4.5 x .39 inches and the weight stands at 200 grams or 7.05 ounces.

However, there will be no special Web browser in the Kobo WiFi Touch edition e-reader. The speed of the e-reader is still being optimized by the company.

It is being expected that the e-reader will be raising a huge competition amongst the leaders of the e-readers market, which includes Amazon Kindle, available for $114.

The purchase procedure of books, magazines and newspapers is very simple on the Kobo e-reader. The entire process is simply by tapping some buttons.

The e-reader manufactured by Kobo priced at 129.99 comes with a Kobo gift card worth $10.
