PayPal hands over One Thousand Anonymous IP addresses to the FBI!

Do you remember last year when PayPal was attacked by ‘Anonymous’ soon after it stopped Wikileaks’ account? Yes, PayPal has finally put its foot down. It wants to retaliate against the hacking coalition. Actually the hackers were not smart enough.

They left behind adequate infoto get traced. According to a report given by PayPal, it has provided a huge list of more than one thousand IP addresses to the FBI. These IP addresses were associated to the PayPal attack in the last year.

At present, there is no information on the usefulness of the entire list of IP addresses though. It is believed that due to the attack being ‘distributed denial of service’ (DDoS), the IP addresses might prove absolutely worthless!

The DDoS attacks are customarily implemented by zombie computer systems. These are actually systems that have been plagued by Trojans. The problem is that the owner remains unaware of the infection attack! It creates a lot of problems to the user. It kills utility, time and efforts of the user.

In case, the IP addresses werenot from the original zombie computer systems, you might come across fake ones. Unfortunately, you might encounter with spoofed addresses. It is considered to be a pre-requisite for hackers to cover or disguise their addresses.

They do this just before performing illegal tasks online. In case, they fail to mask their IP addresses, they are definitely creating a great chance to get caught by the experts.

This is a fabulous step taken by PayPal. The only question that comes into people’s mind is that what made them wait for so long to release the info.

They should have done it way back. This could have saved a lot of inconvenience and lose of valuable treasure by PayPal. The step should have been taken many years back.

All one can do now is to make their best efforts to remain on top position This will help you get the best of PayPal support as it is very efficient in fighting against frauds, hacking and other illegal activities going on the World Wide Web.

No problem. All is well that ends well. It is happy news that Paypal at last realized the importance of challenging the activities of unethical hackers. The basic boycott movement was initiated Anonymous and LulzSec. This might have actually spurred the company to do so. You must stay tuned to get latest updates.
