What is Good Mental health?

It is no secret that people with good and favourable emotional health are known to have full control over their behaviour and emotions. This is how they are capable of dealing with society and relatives.

They are also capable of dealing with varied challenges of life such as consistent stress and work pressure. They know how to lead happy and fulfilling life. The relationship they build are fulfilling strong.

Unfortunately, there are many who are not capable of handling a lot of pressure. They get upset easily. This is because they do not give much importance to their emotional health. The more time you give to emotional health, the better it will be.

There are several ways in which you can enhance your mental health. The tips given below will help you enhance your mood, and enjoy life better.

Mental health is also referred to as favourable psychological well-being. It is wide aspects that includes the manner in which you feel about your personal self, the kind of relationships you share with way you feel about yourself, the quality of your relationships and the capability to manage your feelings.

Good mental health is not a state that defines only the deficiency of certain mental health problems. There are many things that require being taken into consideration to determine good mental health.

If you have good mental health, you will possess the following qualities:


* A feeling of contentment.

* Enthusiasm for leading healthy life and capability to have fun, smile, giggle and laugh whole heartedly.

* Capacity to deal with problems in daily life such as stress.

* Ability to deal with adversity and bounce back from it.

* A sense of purpose to lead life.

* Taking deep interest in relationships and social activities.

* Mental and emotional flexibility to grasp new things in life.

* Change according to situations and adapt to new situations.

* Strike balance between work and play.

* Know when to rest and indulge in activity.

* The aptitude to build and preserve rewarding relationships.

* Self-assurance and high self-esteem.

Here are certain things that you can do in order to keep your mental health in good condition:


* Give adequate rest to your mind and body. This is important to enjoy good mental health.

* Get adequate knowledge about good diet and nutrition. Focus on having a nutritious diet on a daily basis. This will help you keep your mood lively and chirpy.

* Exercise on a daily basis to obtain relief from stress. Exercise is important to lift your mood.

* Sunlight is important. Get the requisite dose daily to pep up your mood.

* Restrict intake of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes.

* Engage in creative activities. Solve a puzzle, paint, write, and draw or play a musical instrument.

* Get a pet. This will help you pass your time and indulge in a responsible relationship.

* Create a leisure activity. Connect with a friend or read a book.
