NORTH WALL - LIVING ROOM FENG SHUI

The application of feng shui in the living room area empowers all the family members so that they can achieve greater happiness and success.

Since the living room is designed for relaxation and spending some time together, the very first thing to be considered is that the room should feel comfortable for the family.

You should make sure that the house remains clean and the windows are opened every day so that natural light can enter and the negative chi is kept at bay.

More yin atmosphere should be created so that it is more comfortable, and tensions and arguments can be reduced.

Long rich curtains, large cushy sofas, carpets and soft natural materials can be used in combinations of light brown, golden hues and deep green.

Sofa sets and furniture with nice flowing round corners are best.
The decor should be curvy and round in shape.

Beautiful plants with large round shaped leaves are also good since it is believed in feng shui that the soil chi of the plant will be able to calm and stabilize the fire chi of the room.

The windows should be kept shining and clean.
You should use various types of window coverings like wood shutters or blinds, romantic valances and soft shades, which enhance the positive chi of the home.

You must avoid bright colors like red, since they add to the argumentative chi.
It is better to use fabrics and cover pointy or protruding furniture or wall corners to eliminate the sharp and dangerous chi.

If you want to absorb negative chi, you can sprinkle some sea salt on the floor.

You can then vacuum it the next morning and throw it away.

You can also open windows and burn dried herbs like sage incense.

The furniture for seating should be placed with its back towards the walls and with a clear view of the entrance.

Round tables would be preferable as they encourage understanding and communication by enhancing the smooth flow of chi.

A feeling of comfort and warmth may be created by a fireplace, but it might also result in the drawing away of valuable chi through the chimney.

To counter that, you can hang a round-shaped mirror on top of your fireplace.

Placing plants around the fireplace is a great thing to do, but you must not use plants with wooden parts since fire feeds on wood, thereby creating more unwanted energy and heat.

Colors play a highly important role so you need to use them to improve the chi of the living room area.

Warm earthy colors like brown and yellow are good feng shui colors for the living room, as they promote the feeling of comfort and warmth.

For supporting knowledge and education for your family members, you can use slate green.
You can add some decorative pieces for emphasizing the objectives of the family members.

Purple can be used for wealth, green and yellow for good health, black for a successful career, and pink and red for attracting more love.

While choosing decorations for the living room you need to select artistic pieces projecting your dream or some goal that you want to achieve, as a surrounding depicting strong images of goals will direct your subconscious minds quietly.

Do not use any negative images like war, death, natural disaster, or sneaky or aggressive animals.

Do not use lifeless things like insects, animals, and antlers for decoration, as they bring dead or lifeless energy, signifying decay and cessation of life.

While using decorative pieces from other cultures, find out the exact meaning, proper placement and use of each artifact.

Make the best of these tips and create a nourishing and peaceful environment in your living room.
