HP ProBook 5330m revealed

These days, more and more laptop manufacturers are looking to make their products not only full of features to provide good utilities, but to make them look great as well. The HP ProBook 5330m is no exception to this trend.

The metal clad body of the laptop is of 13.3 inches and has Beats Audio, which is a recent addition on any HP laptop.

The laptop comes with a matte display, Intel vPro technology, prepaid mobile broadband (optional) and TPM circuitry.

The keyword deck is two-tone and trackpad is of beige color. Sturdy aluminum forms the base of the hinge and chassis.

The underside of the laptop consists of magnesium with a rubbery soft finish. The notebook’s front edge and upper right side corner are painted with the logos of Beats Audio.

The profile is 0.99 inches thick and weighs about 3.99 pounds. There three USB 2.0 ports in the notebook that includes one which doubles up as eSATA connector.

There are a bunch of other features in the notebook like HDMI, VGA-out, a fingerprint reader, Kensington lock slot, an Ethernet jack, a combined mic / headphone port and a MMC/ SD memory card slot. However, there is the lack of USB 3.0 which can be found in the high end models of the EliteBook series.

The web cam of the notebook is of 720p and delivers pictures with bright quality and balanced colors. However, despite ample lighting the images can turn out to be grainy.

The keys of the keyboard are flat and have a soft finish. The keys are nicely placed as well with ideal spacing between the keys.

The keyboard is backlit. The touchpad of the notebook consists of a low-friction and smooth surface with well working two-fingered scrolling.

The notebook runs on a 2.5GHz Core i5-2520M CPU with a 500GB 7,200RPM drive, 4GB RAM, Windows 7 Professional with the 64-bit version and integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics.

The notebook handles with ease things like blogs, email, YouTube videos, downloading and playing back and music streaming. The boot time is about 40 seconds.

The battery of HP ProBook 5330m is of four cells which last for at least 3.26 hours if you are watching a movie.

The basic model of the HP ProBook 5330m costs $799 and you can get mobile broadband module of Gobi, supporting both HSPA and EVDO.

The HP DataPass is also compatible with it. The basic model runs on a 2.1GHz Core i3-2310M CPU. The configurable versions are available from $1,433.

Those building their own can opt for the 128GB SSD at $225, expand RAM to 8GB at $200 and get 3G radio for $124.

Even with the model priced at the very lowest you can get the surety that no compromise has been made with the quality of the materials.
