TiVo Premiere Q And TiVo Preview: Set-Top Boxes For An Advenced Television Expereience

TiVo Inc is the leading creator in the world of television and video recording. They have recently launched their new generation home solution including HD steaming and latest set top box.

TiVo Premiere Q and TiVo Preview are the latest two types of set-top boxes that will add to their television solutions for cable operators.

The launching also included its iPad app and this was held at the 2011 NCTA Cable Show in Chicago.

Their target is to give TiVo service to every television screen through which customers can enjoy a complete cinematic entertainment.

The use of these products allows non-DVR users, multi DVR users and even single DVR users to feel a more complete modern television experience. The TiVo Premiere Q is associated with four tuners and is compatible with a wide video range.

It can be considered as the gateway to modern video. The other device, TiVo Preview is for both DVR and non-DVR users to create a fabulous multi-room viewing feel.

Both the products support operator services like PPV, linear programming, Video on Demand, Caller ID on the television, and even Broadband services.

David Sandford, the General Manager and Vice President of TiVo’s service provider business said, "TiVo's solution for cable has stood apart in delivering the only offering that fully integrates the operator's linear and VOD content with broadband content and application choices.

With the introduction of the TiVo Premiere Q and TiVo Preview, TiVo is extending its advanced user experience and leading multi-room capabilities to provide cable operators a cost effective and highly differentiated solution for every type of household and every television in the house."

He also said, "Operators are constantly looking for new ways to connect with their subscribers, the enhancements we have made to our iPad App help cable operators bring TiVo's innovative user interface directly into the hands of their subscribers, thereby offering consumers the ultimate remote control and viewing on demand experience.

We have only just begun to refine our offering to the operator community and look forward to bringing additional elements to the TiVo iPad App."

TiVo Premiere Q provides many facilities for the benefit of its customers. It can record four channels simultaneously, supports 3HD video over Ethernet or MoCA networks.

It is the only bridge between Ethernet and MoCA, which simplifies and reduces the installation cost and connects Premiere Q easily to the home network.

TiVo Preview allows users to enjoy their television experience completely using the same 3HD, operator’s VOD and linear content in connection with the broadband content. It is also provided with the same Ethernet and MoCA.

Initially, these latest products will only be provided to certain selected cable operators and RCN is the foremost to offer the services of these set-top boxes to its customers. 

The CEO of RCN, Jim Holanda said, "As the first cable operator to deploy TiVo Premiere last year, rolling out a whole home solution from TiVo is the logical next step for our company, we look forward to offering our customers the TiVo user experience, with access to their recordings, RCN VOD and broadband content options on every television screen in the home." TiVo promises to offer its products to other cable operators by the end of this year.
