Get a survival guide which can teach you the basics of how to treat these as some bugs are really poisonous.

If you are allergic to any insect especially bees, then it is vital that you carry the necessary medications as it can get life-threatening when you are outdoors.

Bite from ticks and mosquitoes can not only give you rashes and allergies but also spread diseases like malaria, yellow fever, dengue and Lyme disease.

These are especially prevalent in the wilderness and also when you go camping in tropical countries.

There is no dearth of poisonous insects like spiders and scorpions in the wild hence get a survival guide which also teaches you the first aid basics to handle the worst case scenario.

While setting up shelter, ensure that you do so on a flat, dry land away from the dense vegetation where insects and bugs are more likely to reside.

If you notice a lot of ticks in the area where you are put up, then make sure that you check your body and scalp for these tiny bugs a couple of times in a day and also before turning in for sleep.

If you notice one, then kill it by cutting off the air supply using either Vaseline or tree sap. A good survival guide will tell you how to burn the tick using a hot match if it has burrowed into your skin.

Pull out the entire tick using tweezers and clean the area well with soap and water.

If you get stung by a bee or wasp, promptly remove the stinger and venom sac as soon as possible.

Any survival guide will tell you the importance of having a tweezers in your kit as this instrument can come handy in a lot of such situations.

Wash the area well with soap and water; if you happen to have cigarette, then tear it open and put some wet tobacco on the sting which will help neutralize the pain.

If you are planning on a trip to the tropical forests, then it is always better to be immunized against malaria. It is also advisable to keep a good quality insect repellant in your kit at all times.

Try to wear clothing that hides most of the skin which in itself is a good protection.

Mosquito bites can itch but the best thing is to not scratch as this can lead to infection. One good trick is to cover it with mud which will help subside the itch.

Another way to keep mosquitoes at bay especially while sleeping at night is to burn some camphor and place this near your tent; the smell of camphor helps to drive away these irritating bugs.

If you get bitten by a poisonous spider or scorpion, then squeeze out the area as much as possible to get the poison out.

Get medical help as soon as possible as it can turn dangerous and life-threatening. Ensure that you have a survival guide at all times as this book contains various tips and tricks to battle insect bites and stings.
