Drinking more amounts of liquids is also vital. You must focus on drinking at least 10 glasses of water in a day to treat constipation effectively.

    *    Physical activities:

    *    Do not ignore nature’s call:

Fighting the urge to visit the bathroom can prove to be dangerous for your health. Go immediately when you feel the urge. Holding for too long can cause infection and constipation.

    *    Say no to alcohol:

Strictly avoid consuming alcohol. You should also stay away from caffeinated beverages including soda, black tea, coffee and a lot more. Excess intake of aerated and caffeinated drinks can aggravate the problem.

    *    Do not sleep immediately after eating:

You must take a walk after eating. It would be wise to walk after an hour of eating. This will result in your food to take less amount of time to shift through intestines.
