Myth One: Eat at night and get fat

Myth Two: Strictly avoid foods having high glycemic index


The glycemic index can be used to modify food choices. However, it would not be wise to make it the only strategy to lose weight. Understand that it is just a way of losing weight. However, you should not depend on it solely as it can lead to many health hazards.

Myth Three: Stay away from high fructose corn syrup




This has been a scary issue for most of the weight watcher across the globe. However, health experts feel that there is nothing wrong with high fructose corn syrup. It is just the tendency of people to eat more or drink more that leads to weight gain in the long run.

Studies and researches have proved that there is nothing wrong with taking high fructose corn syrup in restricted amounts.

Myth Four: Caffeine is harmful to health

Most weight watchers dread intake of caffeine. They also feel that it is an unhealthy ingredient for their body.

The trick is to restrict the amount taken during the course of a day. A cup or two is okay. However, replacing caffeine with water and other healthy drinks may be hazardous for the body.

Myth Five: Eat less fat to fell better

Most people are under a notion that the less fat they eat the better. However, this is not true. Counting fat can definitely work for weight control. However, restricting yourself completely will not take you anywhere.

It may result in many deficiencies in the body. Fat is necessary to keep the body healthy. Restricting oil completely is a bad idea. You just need to focus on eating health and switching to healthy oils such as olive oil and flax seed oil.

Myth Six: Avoid Salt

This is the biggest myth people rely on when it comes to losing weight. Most people think that restricting sodium means restricting salt. However, this is not so.

Restricting sodium only means that you need to stay away from high sodium processed foods. Check the label carefully before buying preserved or processed foods.
