1. This method is not yet scientifically proven.

2. Laser hair removal method is not recommended for people having dark skin tones or tanned skin.

3. If it is done by an incompetent professional, chances of the skin getting burned or discolored are present.

4. This treatment is very costly and cannot be afforded by everyone.


There are some risks associated with laser hair removal which are:

1. The skin on which you have performed the treatment can become red and swell up for some time as an after effect of the treatment.

2. After the treatment has been done, the patient may feel a stinging sensation or crusting of skin. If crusting occurs, Vaseline should be used in generous quantities to keep that area moist.

3. Burning of the skin is also a risk involved.
