Protecting your life and family is an important aspect of feng shui. It ensures that your home and family members are safe keeping negative vibes away.

There are different cures for various problems like the 5 element pagodas protects against the ill effects of the #5 Yellow Star that is known to bring about injury, illness, misfortune and even death!

The statues of celestial guardians- Fu Dog, Pi Yao and Chi-Lin or Kei-Loon protect you against the 3 killings of money, love and reputation. Deities like Quan Yin, Buddha, Archangel Michael, Jesus Christ and others guard you against all kinds of troubles.

If you want a quick change in the energetic atmosphere of your home, you can go in for ringing the 7 metals bell or smudging it with sage.

The concept of four celestial animals is very important for the proper feng shui of a house. The concept was initially developed by the Feng shui’s Form School.

The concept has been based on 4 types of landscapes that protect your home.

The types are named as

White Tiger,

a Green Dragon,

a Black Turtle and

a Red Phoenix

The Green Dragon is the most powerful and potent of all protective symbols according to feng shui. The animal provides luck and inspires well being and happiness.

The structures of the green dragon are situated towards the left side of your house.
They add to the wealth of the family.

Something like a tree, hill or a building should be located to the house’s left, positioned a little higher than the house itself. In case there is nothing like that, you can place a figurine or picture of a dragon.

The White Tiger is the symbol of reliable protection, constraining the negative.
The right side of the house is the best location for its structure.

It protects the home from ruination, theft and murders. The structure should be lower than the structure on the left side.

In case it’s not, you must make sure that the left side of the house has a low level lighting or place a figurine or picture of a tiger.

The Red Phoenix is the symbol of success, new opportunities, recognition and rebirth.

The front portion of the house is the most appropriate location for its structure.

An open space, a mound on the front or a low fence represents the celestial animal. You can add red to the space about the front door to reinforce its energy.

If there is a high building or a wall in front of your home, you can put something like a bird house in between and neutralize any negative effects. You can put a peacock feather there as well.

The Black Turtle is the symbol of stability, longevity and support, protecting the house from anything that is negative.

The location of its structure is the back of the house, represented by something solid like a flat hill. The animal provides luck and brings about success in the owner’s life.

It also protects you and your house from burglaries and backstabbing at your workplace. The best variant is to have a live turtle near the back wall but having a figure or picture of a turtle there would do as well.

Fu dogs, a combination of a dragon and a lion that come in pairs, supposedly protect a person’s home. The female ones are placed to the right and the males to the left.

The Lion, a powerful animal, represents financial strength. They often come in pairs and are placed at the entrance.

It protects the house mates from financial problems.

The statue of a tiger or the white lion can also be put in front of your house as the tiger is said to be the guardian of souls.

A picture of bats can protect the owner from evil vibes.

A majority of the protective elements in feng shui are manifested through animals.

In fact, in old times animals were used as parts of talismans. So use these talismans and protect your home.
