Losing weight has almost become an ordeal for most people across the globe. What is the reason behind this?

The basic reason is inability of people to lose weight at normal pace in spite of making efforts such as dieting or cutting down on major fat contributing foods on a daily basis.

Dieting is taken as the only resource of weight loss by most people. They think that dieting can lead to tremendous weight loss.

However, the problem is that people do it without consulting a doctor. Dieting unwisely or starving oneself can result in severe health related complications.

Hence, it is very important to be aware of potential hazards of weight loss through dieting prior to actually indulging into it.

There are many side effects of weight loss programs. Those who fall into the trap of crash dieting suffer from many serious health problems.

What is crash dieting?

This is a technique wherein one tends to restrict all kinds of essential nutrition to the body willfully. The diet plan is usually adapted to burn excess amount of fat for energy aiming towards losing a lot of weight.

The method is absolutely risky. This is because body tends to react badly via preserving fat stores. It also burns the essential lean muscle tissue.

The introduction of fad diets had people rush to them. They wanted to lose weight fast. However, what medical practitioner claimed about weight loss through excessive dieting was not good.

These were referred to as just a temporary fix for the long-term problem for losing weight. They gained weight as soon as they stopped the diet schedule. The weight bounced back. 



Sometimes, the weight bounced in double. This was a serious problem and many went into depression due to this. The reason for this problem was that people ended up eliminating things that they shouldn’t. The diet plans seldom contains adequate nutrients or carbs.

This also means that they are not able to keep themselves full all day long. Most of the time people end up getting strong cravings for wrong types of foods such as sugary delights, fried foods, etc. this made them gain more weight in the long run.

Fad or crash diets for losing weight deprive you of essential nutrients, vitamins and energy. This means that your body will not get the kind of energy that you need to work carry out your daily tasks.

Understand that you are lifeless without energy. Losing weight via dieting is a bad idea. In fact, it is cruelty to your body. This can end up in losing a lot of weight in a short span of time.

This is not good for your body. Once you start eating regularly, all that you consume will turn into fat and the weight loss again turns into weight gain. Another problem is that you could harm your metabolism.
