Orange Group:

This group consists of carrots, apricots, pumpkins, winter squash, mangoes, cantaloupes, acorn squash, and sweet potatoes.

This group consists of alpha carotene that protects against cancer. It also contains beta-carotene that can be converted into Vitamin A by the body. Beta carotene is also recommended for improvement in the night vision.

Green /Yellow group:


This group consists of spinach greens, mustard greens, collard greens, turnip greens, green peas, honeydew melon, and avocado. This group forms the chief source of zeaxanthin and carotenoids lutein. This helps in fighting cataract as well as age related degeneration problems.

Yellow/Orange group:

This group consists of pineapple, oranges, peaches, nectarines, tangerines, and papaya. This group consists of beta cryptothanxin that helps in the prevention of heart ailments. Orange is high in vitamin content and can even work in killing the cancerous cells in both man and animals.

Green group:

This group consists of broccoli, cabbage, kale, Chinese cabbage and Brussels sprouts. This group also consists of chemicals like isocyanate and sulforaphane that acts as an essential preventive against cancer.

Purple/Red group:

This group consists of beets, purple grapes, grape juice, cranberries, black berries, red apples, eggplant, prunes, blue berries, and strawberries. This group is helpful in loading the body with powerful antioxidants that is helpful in prevention of heart ailments, as it does not allow the blood to clot.

Green/White Group:


This group of fruits and vegetables consists of leeks, garlic, celery onions, pears, chives, scallions, and endive. While onion in this group prevents tumor, the other members contain antioxidants.
