The Armani atelier had exposed on the haute couture catwalk from Paris Fashion Week its items dedicated to elegance and luxury.

Behind the feminine textures and the tribal details the devotion of Giorgio Armani was hidden for the sobriety of fabrics and crystal made embroideries.


The elite of cinematography, in front with Uma Thurman and Hillary Swank, plus Livia Firth and the British model Amber Le Bon, had made a reservation to the show of the Italian fashion house and savored a dramatic collection, in which the fashion creator Giorgio Armani proposed a new vision for the exclusive trends.


From suits with simple cuts to the cocktail dresses made from vaporous fabrics and decorated with precious gems, the show had spoken about tragic and vanguard, reminding, at the same time, that fashion is, before everything, dedicated to excess.


The exuberance and refinement were the keywords of many of the manual creations signed Giorgio Armani and the oversized accessories and minimalist hats have marked a debut in the world inspired from the gothic style - a trend present at many designers in this season.

"When Armani is in shape and he brings in the attention of fashion lovers the sober outfits, his creations become a delight", writes the fashion editor Lisa Armstrong. "The star-trousers, which wear the Armani's atelier label, were created from silk and shiny fabrics, being slightly flared at the bottom.

Still, these handmade items had models on the hip because of their too tight cut", added the journalist of the British publication, "The Telegraph".


To describe more detailed the outfits proposed by Giorgio Armani, we have to start by saying that almost all the apparels, including the ones with dresses or skirts, had included trousers, slightly flared. The cuts were sober, rigorous and minimalistic.

The textures were often metallic or satin, sometimes even embroidered. Regarding the range of colors, the main ones were black, red or a combination of them.


Other colors used were burgundy, dark green, white and golden. Also, the collection was very graphic.


When it came to dresses, the predictions that red is the new black gained a foothold. Therefore, nearby the little black dresses, there were present many little red dresses. Another trend that remained along with the graphism and red is peplum. 


To conclude, a powerful collection, yet accessible to the real world, with item that can be easily transferred to the street style - this is what Armani gave to the haute couture fans. If we had to put it in a couple of expressions: extravagance without absurd and refinement without compromise.
